The music industry can feel as confusing as a maze when you’re first starting out. There’s a lot of advice out there, but most of it is either surface-level or outdated. Which is why LYRE’s own Alina Smith is offering Zoom mentorship consultations to a limited number of students. As a writer and producer of current hits, Alina has a unique real-time perspective on the industry, and as someone with a passion for teaching, she’s excited to impart that knowledge to the next phase of hit songwriters, producers, and artists.
Some of the areas Alina is happy to advise on are:
Songwriting. Alina can constructively and positively assess several of your songs, focusing on melody, lyrics, and vocal performance, pointing out the unique strengths of your talent as well as the areas that need to be honed more.
Production. Alina can listen to your tracks and point out the steps you could take to improve your craft.
Artist development. Alina can assess your project with an industry eye, point what’s working as well as the areas that need to be improved.
Career growth. Although Alina is not a marketing professional, she is happy to either refer you to marketing professionals she has successfully worked with in the past or offer non-prescriptive ideas for steps you can take to grow your music career.
What Alina can’t help with:
Legal advice. Alina is not an attorney and is not licensed to give legal advice.
Mental health advice. Alina isn’t a licensed therapist and can’t provide medical advice.
Touring advice. Alina’s expertise lies in the recording studio, not on stage.

The mentorship consists of either the initial one-hour session or a package deal for a discounted price on multiple sessions.
